In Your Face, Etc. -- Scarsdale Sentenced

Former Upstate NY promoter and wrestler, Scott Scarsdale (Weinbloom), has been sentenced to a maximum of 98 months (8+ years) in prison and must pay $72,000 in victim restitution as a result of his guilty plea for Possession of Child Pornography. Further terms and conditions of his term are not immediately available.

Scarsdale was arrested in May 2021 when an FBI Taskforce found him in possession of over 1,300 photos and 1,500 videos depicting crimes against children, including images of dead children.

He appeared in Utica, NY's Northern District Court today at 1pm before Judge David N. Hurd.

Appearing gray, haggard and sickly, Scarsdale spoke on his own behalf, implying that his time in prison had made him a changed man. His mother also made a plea for the judge's mercy. Judge Hurd was skeptical, and described in some detail the images and horrific conversations Scarsdale had shared with an undercover police officer.

A special thanks to our on-scene corespondent who was in the court room for these proceedings.
